Why can I not open or download attachments?

Schools can send you messages with various types of attachments. Some attachments might not be supported by your device or applications.

On Android devices you must have Storage permission activated, and give consent when asked for IRIS ParentMail to access your files. IRIS ParentMail does not access any other information on your device.

If you are having difficulty opening or downloading attachments, check you:

  • have downloaded Polaris Office™, a document reader application, for Apple (iOS) or Android devices
  • have Adobe™ for computers
  • are connected to the internet

If you are still unable to open or download an attachment, contact the school and let them know. The school can arrange to send the details to you another way.

Can I increase the size of text in the attachment?

This depends on the application you are using to view the attachment. We recommend using the Polaris Office™ app.
